The Vineria
From the moment you walk into this vineria (otherwise known as a wine bar), you will be hit with the sense that you’re in a cozy rocker bar. The clientele and the ambiance exude a certain roughness to its exterior – but after a time, that passes, and you realize you are among friends in a very warm environment. If you want to wear a sweatshirt and jeans, or a designer handbag and heels, you’re dressed just right no matter what.
Everyone in La Maddalena knows about Niní, and for good reason. Almost everyone comes here, and just about everyone loves it. Me personally? This is my favorite wine bar on the island!
While they do serve cocktails, the most common drink of choice is definitely a tie between beer and wine. The alcohol preference is simple among the customers, and so are the prices.
The bar does not put on airs, and neither does the staff. Everything about this place is down-to-earth and low-key.
Part of the charm at Niní is knowing the people who frequent it, and running into friends around the island while you’re at apperitivo. And don’t think that it’s just wine they serve. The food portions are massive when it comes to “happy hour”. And it doesn’t stop there. If you’re in the mood for some eggplant parmesean or pesto lasagna, they’ve got that ready for you, too.
Location
Located near Cala Gavetta, right near the center of the island, you’ll find parking out in front of the bar (if need be), and if you don’t have a car, that’s okay! Walking to Niní from in town is a snatch, since it’s a very small city center.
Just make sure that when you do stop in, you let them know that Lisa sent you!
