Something Sweet While You Stroll
To those who love their ice cream, but covet the Italian gelato all the more, then while you’re on the little archipelago of La Maddalena, you don’t want to miss the best there is around.
La Finestrella (“the little window”) which is located right on the main road Via Amendola, in the tiny town known to few around the world, is the best place to stop along your walk through the island. It’s in front of the town’s small port where the ferries come in and out to dock, including yachts, and small sailboats. The view from this little gem of a gelateria is of course breathtaking, and the liveliness of the foot and road traffic, make it all the more exciting as you sample the many flavors the little gelateria has to offer.
From the classic Stracciatella, to the most delicious Amarena, you won’t have any difficulty finding a flavor that you’ll enjoy immensely. The prices are fair, the portions grand, and the service beautiful and friendly.
A quick pit stop here at La Finestrella Gelateria on a hot summer day, or even a cool fall evening, will leave you feeling happy, refreshed and very Italian.
