La Siesta B&B – La Maddalena, Italy

If you’d like an unbeatable location while staying on the unforgettable island of La Maddalena, then stay at La Siesta B&B! Located right across from the port when you get off the ferry, this prime spot on the archipelago is where most of the action happens. Certain rooms have views of the Mediterranean Sea, but all rooms come with incredibly comfortable mattresses and pillows. The B&B opened just a few years ago, but with great success. The owner, who is Mexican-born, has given the B&B a Mexican theme (hence the name being Spanish)

Each room has a different Spanish name, and each of the guest rooms also have different motifs. The bathrooms are modern and very convenient for any type of traveler.

Be prepared for a bit of a workout when you come and go from the B&B, though, as there are four flights of stairs in the old building. Speaking as someone who has lived in Italy for many years, I say, welcome to Italy. This is very commonplace in the country and just like so many of the older buildings there is no elevator. But, this adds to the unique old-world charm that so many tourists seek out. In this way, the guest is fully immersed in the Italian lifestyle!

It’s also noteworthy that staying at La Siesta is quite cost efficient. While hotels in town cost a pretty penny (no matter their level of quality), La Siesta provides you cleanliness, comfort, modern amenities and affordability.

Just make sure you tell the owner Lisa sent you!
