You won’t want to eat anything else for the rest of your life, after you try their Philly Cheese Steak Gyro!
Expertise & Popularity
With 21 years of experience as a franchisee with another restaurant chain, Vince Carich knows his way around business. And more specifically, the food business. He knows what people like, and what keeps them coming back for more. That’s why when he opened up The Gyro Shack in February of this year (2018), he wasn’t at all nervous that business would be nonstop – which it has been.
And there’s good reason for this newfound success. The gyros at this place are some of the best you will ever have on planet Earth! In all candor, these gyros were better than the majority that I’ve had in Europe.
Taste & Convenience
The genius behind the appetizing Greek sandwiches, are combining American favorites with European style. While you may think you’re eating a Philly cheese steak sandwich, you’re actually eating it gyro-style. And that’s the way we like it! With all the fixins that you’d find on the traditional sandwich, you’ll find it wrapped up in some pita bread, with tzatziki sauce on top (or on the side as I like it).

It doesn’t stop there though. With their ingenious invention of the breakfast gyro, you can grab an egg/avocado/bacon delight with some sauce and head out the door in a split before you need to be at work in the morning.

The convenience, and amazing taste isn’t all you’ll find here though. The prices are low, and the quality is very high! Their speed and precision is unmatched as well. While you may find yourself in a line forming its way around the corner outside, within 5 minutes you’ve ordered your gyro and you’re good to go.

The décor is set up just right. While it naturally has that fast-food place kind of feel, the nod to Greek style is there in the few decorations and of course in the taste of the cuisine they offer. Definitely don’t leave without trying their traditional baklava, and also getting a picture with their “OPA!” sign!
All in all you need to make Gyro Shack one of your stops while in “the ‘Couve”. Just make sure that when you do pop in, you let them know that Lisa sent you!
