Welcome to Fire on the Mountain Brewery & Restaurant, where their buffalo wings are what they’re known for, and beer is a must.
If you haven’t heard of Fire on the Mountain, you should be aware of it if you’re headed to the greater Portland metroplex. Portland is of course known for its super niche and unique little spots for artists, and a little unconventional proprietors of all sorts of businesses. And Fire on the Mountain is no exception to being unique. With a production of 1,000 barrels per year, the restaurant started out strong with their famous wings – and now, since 2011, they’re known for their beer too.
Don’t be fooled by the sound of something standard – meaning beer and wings. Both are outstanding, but especially those wings. And the burgers? Oh Mama, they’re good. And the fried Oreos? Don’t even get me started? That’s the part I remember the most. Whoever came up with that idea is a genius.
And if that all weren’t enough the decor and overall ambiance of Fire on the Mountain is typically Portland. You’ll have to go to understand what I mean.
All in all, this is a solid place to visit. Just make sure that when you do, you let them know that Lisa sent you!
