With a warm and inviting charm, Jack Turner and his wife happily welcome and invite their guests to stay at the coziest little B&B in all of Dublin.
Having lived in the home for over 25 years, the Turners renovated their humble abode in 1999. Tasteful interior design met with friendly charm and low-key vibes, it makes for a relaxing and quiet stay while you’re visiting the capital city.
Just a bus ride or long walk from the city center, Avoca House is found on Hollybank Road. The B&B offers several rooms, all stylishly decorated, and offers a glimpse into day-to-day living from a local Irishman’s home.

The B&B offers breakfast in the mornings and you can make yourself feel pleasantly at home throughout the house. Take a good book and read it by the fireplace in the living room; have a cup of tea in the kitchen which offers plenty of natural light, or simply retire to your terribly comfortable bedroom after a long flight, or busy day touring the city.

Jack and Audrey couldn’t have been nicer, and made me feel welcome to come back and visit at anytime. As it happened, I stayed at their bed and breakfast during Christmas, and their whole downstairs was an explosion of incredible winter beauty! With Christmas trees, candles and more, it felt like a home away from home.
Share in the same type of unique experience as I did by staying here a few nights – you won’t want to leave the accommodations as they are delightfully cozy!
Just make sure that when you book your room, you let them know that Lisa sent you!
