Epic Museum – Dublin, Ireland

In 2018 I had the opportunity to visit Dublin for the second time in my life, but also got to visit the Epic Museum, which was indeed epic. A virtual touring experience, you get to experience an interactive look at the Irish immigrants’ history – be it John F Kennedy or Rosie O’Donnell, and everyone in between.

Opening in May of 2016, The Epic Museum allows visitors to collect a “passport” upon purchasing their entrance, and interactively “stamp” it throughout your tour experience.

At the start of the tour, you learn of when and how the Irish immigrants originally left Ireland and made their new lives in various countries around the world. America being a big one of course.

Learning about various trades, customs and traditions throughout the tour, visitors get a very unique and educational look into not only what life was like back in the day, but how these immigrants have shaped our world as we know it today.

My tour was also super unique because I had Garvan Rushe, a local tour guide with me for the day, explaining the museum in an even more personally tailored way.

All in all, Epic was one of the coolest museums I’ve toured, and I would highly encourage anyone to visit. It’s fun, engaging and I felt much more knowledgeable about my own heritage after visiting.

Just make sure when you do take a tour here, you let them know Lisa sent you!
