Budapest Airport Hotel Stáció Wellness & Conference & Pipacs Restaurant – Budapest, Hungary

You’ll feel relaxed and comfortable in your suite at the Stacio, after a massage in their spa, and a dinner at their in-house restaurant!

If you’re looking for a relaxing time before you fly out of the capital, or you’re looking to relax as soon as you land, Hotel Stacio is the right place to come. Located less than 10 minutes from the airport by car, The Stacio offers just about everything you could desire in terms of relaxation, and comfort.

Not only does the hotel boast its own restaurant and lovely spa/wellness area, but it also houses a beauty salon, complete with manicures, pedicures, and of course hairstylists.

While the hotel is located just out of the city limits of Budapest, it’s not only the ideal stay for someone looking for a spa retreat but for someone who likewise would like to stick close to the airport. For those who have a car, the hotel is not difficult to get to from the city center, and even easier to get to the airport. With a shuttle bus service available at the hotel, you are treated to a complimentary shuttle service with either their own personal drivers or by taxi.

The hotel’s spa is probably the part you’re going to enjoy most. With the relaxing pool area, it offers a gorgeous indoor swimming pool, and a well-heated Jacuzzi tub, designed to fit more than 5 people at a time. The comfortable resting sun beds in the pool area are also a nice touch for those who would like to lay around after a dip in the pool, or rest after an intoxicating massage.

And speaking of massages, who wouldn’t want to indulge after or before a long trip? The airport may have you tired and cranky after dragging your luggage around, which is why you should book a session with Kriszti, or any of their other massage therapists at the spa, like I did. The full body massage is one that I can highly recommend, as it will knock you out. And in a good way. The massage room has relaxing music, and a variety of different creams and oils to choose from for your rubdown.

Enjoy the massage before retreating to your luxurious and modern suite, which I chose to do. Complete with a foam mattress, illuminated bed, and modern shower area, the room has a mini-bar stocked with palinka, whiskey, and an assortment of Hungarian wines. It also has a small sofa and resting chair furnished with a soft fur throw.

The clear glass partitian between the bedroom and bathroom also makes for a funky new approach to hotel living – and in a cool way. If you’re going to stay at the Stacio, make sure you order the suite – there’s no other way to live!

And if you’re not interested in driving anywhere for lunch or dinner, no sweat. The hotel has you covered. With a menu of traditional and non-traditional Hungarian dishes, the hotel is able to offer you half/full board, which means you have the option of having a buffet dinner, complete with dessert and drinks. If you prefer to stick to the menu, then definitely try their chicken consommé, and their parsnip puree. And if you have the opportunity to try their “nepi” gulyas soup, do order it. It’s some of the best I’ve personally ever had in the country!

Don’t forget to stop by the restaurant in the morning, where they have a full breakfast complete wtih eggs, bacon and pastries.

The service in every department of the Stacio is fantastic, and should not go unmentioned. From the managers to the wait staff, to the massage therapists, to the receptionists, everyone at the Stacio makes you feel welcome and is always pleased to help you with any concerns, questions or queries.

Just make sure that when you book, you let them know that Lisa sent you!
