Tramvia Ristorante Enoteca – Casalecchio di Reno, Italy

Nestled on the outskirts of Bologna, lies the sleepy suburb of Casalecchio di Reno.  And while this may not be the most famous little town in Italy, it certainly has its charm and reasons for visiting. One of them being Tramvia, an upscale restaurant dedicated to its presentation both in ambiance and food.

From its cave-like romantic atmosphere inside, to its lovely garden patio that is ideal both for sunny afternoon lunches and intimate candlelit dinners by evening, Tramvia is a very special little spot that few know about, but many should.

The food here is quite diverse ranging from excellent traditional dishes like Tagliatelle alla Bolognese, to their more modern seafood fare.

They have endless wines, including a reserved Dom Perignon and everything else you can think of.

I had the opportunity to visit Tramvia on two separate occasions, getting to travel through each side of their menu, both pasta based, and fish based. The hospitality here is to be noted. While the prices are geared for clientele with a taste for the finer things in life, the tone the staff set is not only professional and proper in etiquette, but also warm and inviting. So no matter who you are, you will feel at home here.

I adored the taste of their traditional menu, while their more specialty seafood dishes left me amazed at the precision in presentation.

The type of place you can bring a date, or a group of friends to partake in some delicious wine and classic Bolognese dishes.

Just make sure that when you do stop in to Tramvia, you let them know that Lise sent you!
