Le Charm
Let’s admit it, we’ve all wanted to be a tourist and sit at one of those cool, outdoor French cafes, drink a cafe au lait or a glass of red wine and watch the passers go by. Well, I’ll admit that that’s what I’ve always wanted to do. And here at Le Cafe Voltaire, I got to have that opportunity. With the stereotypical Parisian seating, on a beautiful, sunny day, I got to sit in the center of Aix-en-Provence, and have a lovely lunch while enjoying the light bustle of locals and tourists walking to and fro throughout the town.
The menu here at Voltaire is small but perfectly adequate, with the few items they do serve being exceptionally tasty. The dessert I had in particular was a show stopper.
The waitress who served me, Amelie, was courteous, friendly and spoke fluent English.

The decor inside the cafe is exceptionally quaint and unique.. With a mini library, a chandelier, and a cozy vibe with only a few tables, the atmosphere is ideal both in day and by night.
In short, the cafe is the perfect spot to have a quick bite on the go, or a leisurely drink with friends in the evening. I would highly recommend coming here while in Aix, and I would love to go back one day. Just make sure when you do stop in, you let them know that Lisa sent you!
