If you’re looking for a place that has amazing and unique cocktails, but where you can also get healthy shakes…this is your place. Not just a great hangout for friends and dates, but also the perfect spot to pick up a healthy drink on the go. So why not get a cocktail at the bar, or perhaps Go Healthy?
They first started out as a little fruit stand in front of where the bar is now located. This is where the healthy fruit shakes came into play for the business. The specialties of the house, in fact, are the fruit smoothies and not the cocktails. Though I’m here to say, the cocktails should be given much more attention than they are.
Flavors explode within your taste buds when you taste their particularly unique and unforgettable Morangaska, a strawberry cocktail with an innovative and creative flavor. You’ll also want to try their “Sex” right on the beach.
The Best Junk Food
Given that their business is right smack dab in front of the ocean, you’ll surely not want to miss out on the stellar sunsets that Espinho offers in the late evening, while you have one of their tasty drinks. And by the way, their food is out of this world as well.
The perfect type of snack food to match their tasty beverages, you can have a mini-burger for a whole 90 cents. That’s value, taste and quality all in one big bite!
Yes, their prices are insanely low. Especially considering their unbeatable location (right in the center near the beach). You’ll be in shock when you see how amenable the cost is at Go Healthy to anyone on a tight budget.
But for sure, you cannot leave the bar until you’ve had their out of this world chicken wrap. With a specialty sauce, the wrap is the best I had in all of Portugal, and quite possibly one of the top things I had while in the country for a whole month. For sure this was my favorite item they had on the menu, and I tried just about all of their food while I was there. When men bring you food, you eat it, what can I say?

Staff, Service & Supplies
Only having been open a short time, the cocktail/health bar is owned by two brothers who appreciate the value of good customer service and having great staff. My favorite person that I met that night was Ricardo. He made me feel more than welcome and catered to my every need.
Because of their popularity, keeping their top ingredients in stock is a challenge. They are proud to serve their customers the best though. For this reason, they work hard to ensure they never run out of the necessities to make the best stuff.
With a staff of 8, the little hole-in-the-wall establishment is so busy, they’re looking to hire new staff. So for those of you out there looking to work in a hip environment right on the gorgeous Atlantic – this may be right up your alley.
From Monday through Friday they are open from 12 noon until 4 AM. Saturdays and Sundays they are open from 10 AM until normal closing.
Great music, great views and great staff all make the experience at Go Healthy & Cocktail Bar an absolute must when you’re visiting Espinho. And when you do, make sure to tell them Lisa sent you!
