It’s not every day that you have an opportunity to eat genuine Portuguese food. Not only authentic Portuguese food but at an affordable rate. Authentic Portuguese food, at an affordable rate and in a charming town like that of Évora. Along the N-254 highway in the town, you’ll find a little out of the way place called N-254 Restaurant – named after the highway.
With typical Portuguese dishes and styles, you’ll find the staff to be friendly, accommodating and more than happy to welcome you into their establishment.
While I sadly didn’t have a chance to visit the restaurant first-hand, I did however have the pleasure of trying their food at a local fair while I was in Évora. They were kind enough to let me sample a little bit of everything (including the amazing beer and sangria that I was able to taste). The grilled meat that I had at the end, was just as delicious as it had smelled a kilometer away from when I originally felt the smoke hit my nose.
With an array of cold starters, such as chickpea salad (which was my favorite), octopus, and more, you’ll find that there’s a little bit of everything for every type of taste.

Don’t miss out on their tomato chicken specialty or their grilled sausages and pork chops. The taste is heaven and the vibe the people exude even more intoxicating.
