Ever been to a gintoneria? You know, where they produce and then serve gin? And basically, only gin? No? Then why not head to Troia, the tiny village in northern Puglia, where you will find the only gintoneria in the area. And trust me, if you’ve never been into gin, you will be after coming here!
Italy is most known when it comes to libation, for its wines. But in Troia, a sleepy little village in the southern region of Puglia, it is home to a new little bar known as La Gintoneria di Uvarara – basically, a bar serving only gin. You might not expect such a unique venture in such an unknown place, but the flavors are amazing, with dozens of different choices varying in creation, ingredients and styles of fermentation.
The bar, while very small inside, offers a sophisticated ambiance, delicious appetizers and professional hospitality. The outdoor seating area is lovely, giving guests a chance to watch passers go by as you indulge in your cocktail, apperitivo and breath in the lovely Pugliese air.
