For the best gelato around, make sure to stop in at Gelateria Terrazze Miranda in Campobasso. They put the taste in fantastic!
Italian Ice
Campobasso may not be on your radar when you think of places to visit while in Italy, and don’t worry – even the Italians tend to forget that its region of Molise is on the map. But when you happen to be in town, there are a few really great places to visit, and if you’re in the mood for some stellar gelato, then this is the spot to check out.
With a plethora of choices, all of the flavors of the Italian ice cream are absolutely delicious, and I would dare say you won’t find better gelato in the whole town.
The ambiance is unique and fun, set in a very early 20th century motif with murals throughout the whole gelateria, there is an upstairs with a “terrace” so to speak, which curls around, giving you a great view of the lower half of the establishment.
With friendly staff both during the day and the evening, they also offer cocktails, wine and milkshakes just to name some of their other options. While the cocktails may not have been my favorite (I’m a sweet seeker when it comes to an aperitivo), that doesn’t mean that those bitter sips aren’t for other customers.

All in all, it’s worth checking out and super fun to stroll around the small city with a delicious gelato in hand.
Just make sure that when you do stop in, you let them know that Lisa sent you!
