La Terrazza B&B – Campobasso, Italy

Not many people know of Campobasso. In fact, most people don’t know the region of which Campobasso is the capital – Molise. And even more humorous, Italians themselves often say that when listing all the regions in Italy, they tend to forget about Molise. Not that native residents of the town or region would ever forget, but those outside of it are quick to.

While the region of Molise might be a rather forgettable place, Campobasso shouldn’t be. Though there are signs of age and lack of modern aspects throughout the city, there are so many unique little businesses sprouting up, it’s hard not to enjoy your time there.

One place in particular in this sleepy city of approximately 47,000 people, is La Terrazza B&B. You may be able to note from the name, there is in fact a terrace .But we will get to that momentarily.

The apartment, which is privately owned, boasts two floors worth of ample space throughout the entire property. On the top floor of an ancient building, the historical architecture leading up to the apartment is deceptive for what is waiting for you behind the front door. Upon arrival, you will find a modern, and almost art deco style 1990s feel to the abode.

With a winding staircase leading you from the living room, downstairs bathroom and spacious kitchen, all the way up to the master bedroom complete with ensuite bathroom, and of course – the terrace.

The terrace/patio, which overlooks the city of Campobasso, has an abundant amount of space to accommodate enough people for an outdoor party – if given permission. A morning café and brioche can be enjoyed up here during the sunny months, which even into October you will find possible given how far south you are.

The ensuite bathroom offers a gorgeous Jacuzzi tub with jets, umbrellaed by a cozy wooden rooftop giving it an almost cabin-like feel.

The bed super comfortable, the master bedroom has a television available, and a wardrobe for your clothes.

The living room is likewise superabundant in space, and offers 2 separate couches for your lounging pleasure.

The fully stocked kitchen is quite large, offering guests the option of staying in and cooking themselves their own homecooked meal.

And an added perk, making it an official B&B is that the owner’s wife swings by every morning to set up the kitchen with breakfast items for you, and even makes the bed. So you’re getting the full experience here.

Why stay in a hotel when you have this kind of privacy, treatment and relaxation. The view itself is unbeatable, and for the price to stay at a hotel, this is well worth the trade.

Do check out Campobasso while in Italy, even if it might not have originally been on your bucket list. Costs are lower here, the stay is luxurious at La Terrazze and the locals friendly. Just make sure that when you do book your holiday at La Terrazze B&B you let them know that Lisa sent you!
