The island of Procida is one that most tourists often overlook when they’re traveling to Italy. Mostly, out of towners spend their time walking around the Colleseum in Rome, or enjoying breathtaking views from a gondola in Venice.
But sometimes, the lesser known spots in a foreign country can be the most memorable and idyllic.
Take Procida, the island just off the coast of Naples in the region of Campania. There are picturesque alleyways, charming cafes and restaurants, and small spots for owners of yachts.

But, more importantly, Procida has some pretty phenomenally stunning views, specifically the higher up you go to overlook the ancient village.
Problem is, not everyone can hoof it by foot to get to these unforgettable scenic spots. And even if you can, it will take a while and with a great deal of effort. So why not motor your way to the top? That’s essentially what I did…with still a little bit of exercise involved.
Sprint Rentals offers tourists and locals the opportunity to ride around the island in ease with their electric bikes, scooters and regular bicycles. The cost is minimal, but the experience unforgettable. Because I didn’t have a license or experience in driving a scooter (e.g. a Vespa), I wasn’t allowed to rent one – but that doesn’t mean others who do have experience can’t. Instead, I was given an electric bike, which even though it did the majority of the work, getting up that highest hill still left me slightly out of breath. It was a work out!

I spent the entire day using my electric bike to get from the rental to the hill top, to the grocery store, to my apartment rental for the night. The bike was great, and helped me get around the (albeit tiny) island.
All things considered, Sprint is the best thing to make your time in Procida more enjoyable, and I would definitely recommend them as a company. They are friendly, knowledgeable in helping you learn how to use all of their different bikes, and they are affordable.

So the next time you’re in Procida, definitely stop in and get yourself some fun transportation. Just make sure that when you do, you let them know that Lisa sent you!
