Gioia Apartments – Procida, Italy

If you’re looking to get away from it all, and surround yourself in tranquility while on a remote island, then head to Procida.

The incredibly old island, with human civilization dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries B.C., has not lost its beauty since then. Spanning only 1.4 square miles, it is the smallest island in the bay of Naples.

Having said all that, Procida is probably one of the most beautiful places you’ll ever have a chance to experience and visit, as I did. It is a warm island, both climate wise and with friendly locals. The food is delicious, and the views even more stunning than you can imagine.

The view from the first apartment where I stayed

Which leads us to Gioia Apartments. I had the opportunity to stay at two of their residences each on either side of the island giving me two very unique views. And make no mistake, of the two apartments where I stayed, the views were 100% the best part of that stay.

The company offers many different types of rentals throughout the island, all with private owners soliciting Gioia to rent them out on their behalf. Some of the flats are more modern, while others scream a 1700s throwback.  But whatever you choose, you’ll have all that you need, from beds, to full kitchens, to fresh linens and again – those unforgettable views.

Prices are moderate for the area, and anywhere you stay is within walking distance of all that you need while staying on the island – i.e. beach, food and fun.

So when you book with Gioia Apartments, just remember to let them know that Lisa sent you!
