With all the many hair salons to visit while in the greater Viterbo area, there’s one in particular that stands out. And that is Parentesi Donna Hair Salon, in the tiny village of San Martino al Cimino. The town is only a meager 5 miles from Viterbo, a rather well-known city itself in Lazio. Viterbo, known for its University, San Martino should instead be known for the fabulous B&B La Locanda Cistercense, Da Saverio Ristorante Pizzeria, and of course, Parentesi Donna Hair Salon.
Mario, who is not only a highly talented and friendly hair dresser, but also a very handsome one too, offers customers a unique experience with fantastic Italian hair styles. His son is also employed here, among a few other talented professionals, all of whom took turns doing this and that with my hair, until Mario himself came over to do the masterpiece that he did.
With an amazing cut, and blow out, he made my hair so beautiful that I felt confident and attractive for the remainder of my time in Lazio and even into my time in Tuscany as I journeyed around Italy for 6 weeks.
The color was well done, and the final touches were of course spot on. The atmosphere in general here is friendly, warm, welcoming and makes you want to come back again and again. And if I did live in the area, you best believe this would be my regular spot. But for now, I’ll just have to promise myself that the next time I’m in Lazio, I’ll need to pop in to have Mario do his magic on my hair.
