Bellagio Pescalo Guesthouse – Bellagio, Italy

When we hear the name Bellagio, unfortunately, most of us probably immediately think of the casino in Las Vegas that is always mispronounced. But the truth is, that casino is actually named after a gorgeous little town in Northern Italy right on Lake Como – Bellagio.

Actually, the town itself could ostensibly be its own little world like that casino, and you would neve know otherwise. It does have a fairy tale, Disneyland-like feel to it as you meander around the quaint cobblestone streets, and admire the views of Lake Como from every angle and alleyway.

Another thing that you probably might have figured out by now, given the location, it’s not an inexpensive town, which means that lodgings – no matter the time of year – are always going to be molto expensive. But that’s why Bellagio Pescalo Guesthouse is a true find.

Not only are the prices very low comparatively, it’s private, fully furnished and has a spectacular rooftop view that’s unbeatable. Especially for the cost.

My stay at Bellagio was absolutely divine, and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. One of the best accommodations I can recommend in Europe in general, I felt right at home here, and the owner couldn’t have been kinder or more accommodating.

From the ample living room and kitchen, to the comfortable upstairs bedrooms, a private little gym, and of course the stunning view of Lake Como from  your rooftop patio. I had a little breakfast up there on my last morning and savored every last second of that view before heading off for my last day in Italy.

The owner provides guests with a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival, snacks in case your peckish when you arrive, and there’s even a small size bar with alcoholic refreshments in the living room. Adding to that, the couch is uber comfy, with awesome lighting in the living room and Netflix on demand. Who could ask for more?

With the location being central to the side of Pescalo (hence the name), you are in the throws of Bellagio and all that it has to offer.

The owner also has his toe in another business, Bellagio Water Sports. I had the opportunity to go out one afternoon with he and some other tourists who had signed up for the kayaking tour and had a blast. Kayaking around Lake Como was not something I was expecting to do that week, but life is sometimes full of very pleasant surprises and this was certainly one of them! The views were amazing, and the experience was something I couldn’t recommend more!

And while you’re in Bellagio, you should definitely try some of the restaurants I got to visit while I was in town. Here below, you can see a video of just a couple I frequented.

All in all, you don’t want to overlook Bellagio Pescalo Guesthouse, as the experience and cost are a no-brainer. Just make sure that when you do book your stay, you let them know that Lisa sent you!
