The Gaston Guesthouse – Dallas, Texas

The best place to stay in the greater Dallas area is a local gem that not many know about. The Gaston Guesthouse in Deep Ellum is something that you will not regret visiting.

In what is the more liberal arts district of Dallas, Deep Ellum rests close to downtown, and is home to the coolest guesthouse you will find – The Gaston Guesthouse.

With five choices of themed rooms, they are all unique, comfortable and most importantly unforgettable in their respective charms. Stay in the Dealey, and step into JFK world – an honorable nod to his assassination in Dallas.

Or perhaps you’re more interested in a cowboy themed room, in which case you might want to kick off your spurs in The Adair. Or, like me, you might want to upgrade and spend the night in The Eastham which is completely Bonnie & Clyde all the way. This suite also offers a grand bathroom with stained glass window and old fashioned soaking tub.

And the rest of the house? I had the opportunity to stay at Christmas time, so it was decorated with the most beautiful festive trees, lights and nick-nacks. The downstairs area is complete with a bar, which serves cocktails by evening and breakfast by morning. The living room and dining area are perfect for groups, and the interior design is really something else.

With the owners investing time, energy and creativity in the bed & breakfast, their ingenuity and passion have paid off.

So the next time you’re in Dallas, skip the hotel and head for The Gaston Guesthouse. Just make sure that when you book your super cool room, you let them know Lisa sent you!
