The Beginning
Opening in 2017, owner Andrew has always believed in the power of massage. He also always believed in the idea of helping people from all ends of the spectrum: helping clients feel better physically and mentally through massage, and helping others learn the art and science of the practice to make a comfortable living.
What sets Healing Hands apart from other massage salons in the greater DFW area is their low cost, and humble approach in atmosphere. Both a school for eager-to-be massage therapists, and a studio to receive massages, you will not find a better deal than Healing Hands than what it costs to be a client here.
The Students and the School
The graduating students are the ones giving the massages to clients, and the studio charges a very minimal price, considering that this is not a traditional spa or experienced massage therapists. But perhaps what’s better about Healing Hands is just that – they’re not experienced. The main reason this is better is that the students are eager to get started on their massage career journeys, and are not worn out as so many tend to be after many years of practice. These fresh graduates are cheerful to heal, and are extremely knowledgeable about what they’ve just learned and are ready to put it to practice.
And what are they teaching? Just about all the standard massage disciplines you can think of: Swedish, sports massage, pre-natal, and others. They also have 2 translators on staff, one for Spanish and one for Chinese. Now you might be wondering, “Why Chinese?” Because their student portfolio is extremely diverse. With students from Thailand, China, South Korea, Eastern Europe and Latin America – there’s a little bit of everyone coming to Healing Hands to learn.
And while this humble studio might not be the fanciest for clients, the price really makes up for a lot. As of 2025, a 90 minute massage is only $45. And you still get a private area with curtains, dim lighting, and spa music in the background to really set the mood.
