If you want the best Pina Colada you’ve ever had in your life, then you need to visit Palaps Seafood The Original Seafood Bar in Richardson, Texas.
There’s Mexican, and then there’s Mexican Seafood. Pretty much anywhere you go in the States these days Mexican restaurants are a dime a dozen. They are on practically every corner, and usually offer delicious – if not completely authentic – Mexican food. But it’s rare, even in Texas, to find a specifically Mexican Seafood bar. And Palapas is just the place you might be looking for.
It’s not that I’m saying there aren’t great things on their menu – because the nachos were fantastic – but what I am saying is that the main reason I would love to come back here is simply for their Pina Coladas. I say this because not only was it huge, not only did it have ice cream in it, but it was also fresh to order – which is almost unheard of here in the States – I can never find it!
The management and staff is friendly, everything is made to order, the menu plentiful and the items unique and different from anything you’ll find elsewhere.
And it’s also in a great location, east of Dallas, located in the Richardson area, you’re in a comfortable spot with authentic Mexican food. Live music available as well, which really sets a super fun and lively tone.
