Management
It all started in January of 2009. The then 40-something Samer Keilani opened his first salon suite in Plano, Texas. Four years later, after a successful run of his beauty center, he took the inititive to open a second location. This time, in Richardson. To date, Samer now has three locations throughout the greater Dallas area, and couldn’t be happier with his choice of business.
Prior to this new found business endevour, and even now alongside the salon suites, Samer works in Real Estate Brokerage and Sales. Though completely different fields of work, he is a driven and motivated business entrepreneaur in all facets of his work life.
Samer is always eager to rent out space in his three locations, including Richardson. He stresses that the different locations offer nice amenities, a great working atmosphere, with hands on ownership and management.
Currently, Imagique in Richardson has 42 people working at the salon suites, and he encourages others to consider the prospect of joining the group.
While there are a gaggle of other salon suites, hairsalons, estiticians and manicurists in the “Big D”, Samer advises clientele to visit Imagique. Among the reasons for people to visit the salon suites, are the personability of great professionals who are always looking to be innovative. Mostly though, he emphasises how warm and inviting the atmpshere is here at Imagique. And he couldn’t be more right!

Hair By Melly
Upon entering her little space at Imagique, Melly Rodriguez was friendly and generous right from the start. Offering me chocolate as soon as I walked in, and then later some Cabernet Souverignon while the color was sitting on my hair – it was a relaxing experience. The 34 year old Texas native has been a licensed hair stylist since 2005.
She knew she was going to be a hairdresser when, at the age of 4, she was given her first Barbie which received a haircut just seconds after it was in her hands. A tale many a hairstylist can relate to, no doubt.
Having had her own business for approximately the last 9 years, she’s been working at Imagique for nearly the majority of that time.
Something that is important to Melly, is her clients being able to replicate styles at home. She loves to send them home with tips, tricks and education on how to do what is they’re looking to achieve.
“My main goal with each and every client is that they get exactly what they came for. A fun and exciting experience! I want them to leave feeling better than they imagined. The bonus is that they have made a long life friend,” says Melly.
You might wonder what her signature talent is. It’s coloring. She is a certified colorist and travels between 2-3 times per year to brush up on the latest advancements and to enhance her craft. She is constantly seeking out the best and healthiest products that gravitate to more plant-based options.
Which then is no surprise as to why coloring is her most asked for service. She adds,
“Sometimes even a small change in a person’s hair color can make a huge difference in their look.”
Melly expresses her joy in being able to hold a job that she absolutely loves. Saying that it’s a industry. in which people allow her to help them transform how they feel inside and out. This allows her passion to become her profession.
My Experience with Melly
Melly’s coloring may be the talk of the salon, but it’s the up-do she did for me on the night of my birthday party that really rocked the house! I put a challenge before her, wanting to have an 80s style up-do. She put some creativity and flare together, and came up with one of the coolest hair styles I’ve ever had done!
Her blowouts are beautiful, and silky smooth – but it’s those products that will make you want to come back for more. The scents, textures and quality of everything from her shampoos to her hair sprays, they are all intoxicating and great on the hair.
Gaudio’s Wax Salon
If you’re looking for a practically pain-free experience in getting your legs waxed (or anything else) Gaudio’s Wax Salon may just be the ticket. Using some unique and smooth wax unlike any I’ve ever seen before, Michele Gaudio is gentle, funny and personable throughout your entire waxing journey.
Starting her business in 2014, she has been working here and there around the greater Dallas area ever since then. At the tender age of 19, she received her license as an esthetician and continues to keep herself well informed on the many changes in the industry.
With services ranging from Brazilian wax, to upper and lower legs, eyebrows, lip and arms… she does it all, and with great enthusiasm!
Though prices are a bit higher than some of the quickee-salons down the street, her technique and detailed approach are to be compensated. Her eyebrow, lip and chin package for example costs $20, while her full leg wax is $90. A well done Brazilian will run you $50, while an underarm wax is $20.
Her signature talent? The same as her most requested service: The Brazilian.
The Wax
According to Michele, she uses high quality European hard wax. This wax only sticks to the hair and not to the skin, making it less painful for the client. Aside from her overall training and experience as a licensed esthetician, she knows what it’s like to be on the receiving end of the hot wax and rip. She tries to make the experience as enjoyable, and with as little screaming as possible!
And the best part of coming to Gaudio’s is the great laugh you’ll have while you get your waxing on. Whether it’s your lip, your legs or something more intimate, Michele has a great way of putting you at ease and making you feel comfortable. Her humorous demeanor and enjoyable conversation will keep you entertained and most importantly, distracted as she rips the unwanted hair from your body!
Love and Lacquer
Welcome to the cutest and possibly best decorated suite at Imagique! Why shouldn’t you feel like you’re at home with a friend while getting your nails done? At Sally’s suite, you will feel relaxed, cozy and never want to leave her little space!
Since 2010, the now 32 year old professional manicurist has been licensed to work on women’s hands from near and far. Years before, Sally had been working at standard nail salon just to earn a little extra money. But when clients began requesting her regularly, that’s when she knew she wanted to start her own business.
Everyone loves to feel needed, and Sally is no different. Knowing that customers value and appreciate her work is important to her, and she wouldn’t want to have it any other way. Though she’s been running her own business for the past 4 years, she’s been at Imagique since January of 2019.
Something that Sally points out that sets her apart from other nail salons is the privacy that her clients get by coming to her. While at other nail salons, you will have a lot of noise and other customers around, at her salon suite it’s a one-on-one experience. Her philosophy is simple,
“Self-care should be just that. Your time to relax, enjoy good conversation. Let me take care of your nails and leave you feeling pretty.” And pretty she will indeed make you feel! My nails had never looked more feminine and womanly than after she finished with them!
Her signature talent? While she is well-rounded and has an array in a number of areas when it comes to the nail, it’s the cuticles she loves the most. She says a fresh set of nails with clean cuticles looks just great – and most of us couldn’t agree more.
Her most requested service however, is the latest invention in the nail world: Dip Powder Manicure. This is the service I was given, and it was absolutely gorgeous! She invested time and detail getting my nails just the color, theme and length I wanted, and two weeks later helped me get them off too.
Sally’s overall goal with her clients, aside from making them feel welcome and appreciated, is getting their nails to express who they are. With a variety of styles to choose from, and create themselves, her clients are never disappointed with the work Sally does for them.
Her prices range from low to average depending on what you are looking to have done. A regular manicure costs $15, while a gel pedicure is upwards of $45. The Dip Powder Manicure is $38, and a regulare pedicure $30.
Whatever you decide to invest in though, Sally’s work will leave you feeling beautiful and like a new woman. And that’s really what we want at the end of the day, isn’t it?
Why Visit
Overall, Imagique is a great place to visit as a client, and work as a private business owner. With complete autonomy if running your own salon, you are not under any supervisor’s thumb for any reason. Giving your clients a private experience, and getting great amenities in the cost of your rent to boot.
