Hailing from the far off place of India, owner Ajay has been running Salubrious Juice & More since April 1, 2017. To much of the delight of many a Frisco local, Salubrious was no April Fool’s joke. The juice bar covers all the desired needs of any a vegetarian/vegan goer.
According to Ajay, juicing “literally saved [his] life”, and it was his mission to help the community and make sure healthier options were available. And because they are the first organice juice and smoothie shop in Frisco, this makes them particularly unique. With hundreds, if not thousands of restaurants and quick stop n’ eats in the greater Dallas area, why Salubrious? With their healthy options, extrodinarily well-put together menu and low prices, it’s the ideal place to stop in when trying to stay on a nutritious eating plan.
With plenty of options, Salubrious’ most popular item is their OMG juice. Which actually stands for “Oh My Greens”. Packed full of all the nutrients, fiber, and high density that you need to keep you going throughout the day, these juices have it all! And while this may be their most popular item, their specialty are the juice cleanses. In fact, people as far away as Sherman, Texas come visit the little shop just for their juice cleanse needs. That’s saying something about their quality and effectiveness! In fact, Ajay says they believe to have the most testimony about juice cleanses more so than anyone else.
“We are the juice cleanse specialist! We are the only company that has figured out how to incorporate ancient herbs in the cleanse. People see real results [in days]. A lot of our clients report back that they lost 4-6 lbs, they feel twice as much energy, they look and feel young, their sluggishness has left them,” says Ajay quite proudly.
Salubrious also doesn’t put any filters or any ice in their smoothies. And instead of harmful cane sugar, they use dates to give them that sweeter taste.
The Ambiance & Prices
It may not be just the smoothies and vegan fare that you will be loving when visiting Salubrious, either. It will also be the vibe in general. A soothing atmosphere, the juice bar’s furniture and art work has all been created by a local artist in the area. Promoting her work, the ambiance and décor are perfect for getting in the mood to relax and have your Pink Dragon Smoothie.
During the week, they will see anywhere from 30-70 customers per day. Highlighting just how popular they are in the area.
And prices? Glad you asked. Their smoothies range from $6.50-8. While juices go for $8-12, smoothie bowls are $8.50 and food items will run you between $3:50-5:50. All in all not too shabby. And not only are you eating healthy, but the tastes are terrific! Especially their strawberry breeze smoothie. Don’t leave without trying that.
My Experience
Salubrious is a relaxing, healthy and tasty place to stop in and have a quick bite or drink. It’s also a great place to sit down and have a nice leisurely lunch or snack with friends. Quiet, casual and with a soothing atmosphere, I highly enjoyed being in the little juice bar.
The food was great – and I’m not even vegan! I would definitely recommend their avocado on toast with microgreens, and their spinach, mushroom and onion creation on sourdough toast. Yum!
