For a classy night out, and a little bit of creative Thai-French fusion cuisine, Asparagus is your best bet.
Wanting to avoid the high prices of Chicago, but still have a fancy night out? Asparagus is located just less than an hour outside of the big city in its neighboring state of Indiana, and the food here is some that you will not soon forget.
My top picks for the evening I spent here were the avocado rolls, the Drunken Noodles, and best of all were their cocktails. Fresh lychee was also available in those cocktails, and you can’t beat the flavor explosion!
The decor might just be the best part of Asparagus. With a unique and sleek look, you won’t feel like you’ve left Chicago in this upscale approach to interior design.
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and though some might stick their noses up at the fact that it’s a fusion restaurant, it works, giving it a more of an outside of the box type of approach. Located right in the heart of Merrillville, you’ll find it to be an upscale dining experience, in an otherwise not so upscale city.
The menu and the portions are ample, so come prepared to eat. Just make sure that when you do book your reservation, you let them know that Lisa sent you!
