How “Get Lost with Lisa” Was Born

The idea for “Get Lost with Lisa” came naturally from years of fielding the same question: “Where should I go while I’m in…?” followed by a list of cities my friends, relatives, and acquaintances were planning to visit.

Having spent over a decade living internationally, I had intimate knowledge of incredible destinations that most travelers never discover. I realized there was a gap in the travel market – beautiful places and exceptional local businesses were being overlooked simply because they weren’t well-known.

What started as a small idea to share these hidden gems has grown into a worldwide platform that helps travelers discover authentic experiences while supporting deserving local businesses.

My faith plays an important role in my life and work. In 2021, exactly three years after conceiving the idea for the website, I dedicated my life to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This brought new meaning to my work – I now aim to glorify God through showcasing His amazing creation while blessing those who use this platform.

As it says in Proverbs 16:9, “A man plans his way but the Lord directs his steps.” This verse perfectly captures how my travel journey has unfolded.
